RENTER AGREEMENT AND CONTRACT 

NON-SMOKING, NO-PETS AND NO BIKES INSIDE:
All of Wheeler Rentals trailers are non-smoking.  Pets are not permitted in the Trailers. Trailers are not permitted off of paved roads, No dirt roads please.  Evidence of smoking, pets or dirt roads will result in forfeiture of entire security deposit.  And please do not put your bikes inside of the Trailers or any other hard, sharp, loose items.  They scratch the interior and that is very expensive or impossible to repair.  We charge $50 for any abuse of this rule,
and you pay for the repair. 

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS:
You must have a
7-way/round plug, a trailer brake control switch (A trailer brake control switch communicates with the electric brakes on the trailer.  It is a box under the dash of the towing vehicle it is usually not included in a standard tow package.  Trailer brakes are required in most states to tow any trailer 3000 pounds or heavier http://drivinglaws.aaa.com/laws/trailer-brakes/ is a good resource). and a secure trailer hitch with a ball.  Proper electrical wiring (round seven or 7-way, same thing) is required to tow these trailers a round 5, 6 or straight 4 will not work.  If you show up to pick up a trailer and  we find that you do not have a trailer brake switch and/or a round seven plug then you will be responsible for payment in full with out the trailer being given out, (because I will not have enough time to rent to someone else if you can not fix your wiring problem).  Please check your wiring before you come to pick-up a trailer.

INSURANCE :
Proof of current insurance is required at the time of departure. 
Please verify with your insurance carrier that the trailer will be fully covered under your insurance.  If your insurance company will not cover the trailer (or we happen to be cheaper) than we can provide collision insurance for $7 a day ($28 min.) with a $750 deductible If you have State Farm or Farmers insurance they will give you a "rider" for collision coverage for a small fee.

DAMAGE AND CLEANING DEPOSITS:
A $500.00 Damage deposit and a $75.00 cleaning Deposit will be required at time of Pick-up.  Renter is responsible for any damage done to trailer between pick-up and drop-off.  The Deposit will be refunded within 48 hrs of Drop-off or unfrozen within 10 days of pick-up. 
IF the trailer has been returned Undamaged, Clean, With all the Kitchen items, and no other charges have been made.  Renter is responsible for any loss of business and/or for the cost to accommodate future rentals due to damage that happened between their pick-up and drop-off times.  Deposit can be made by Visa, Master Card, Cash or Check (accepted with a minimum of 7 days before departure only).


RESERVATION DEPOSIT:
Half of the rental amount will be required at time of reservation.  See "Cancellation" below for refund policy.

CANCELLATION:

Full refund of reservation deposit is available up to 4 weeks before departure minus a $25.00 service fee.  Deposit is not refundable within 4 weeks of departure.  If you cancel within 7 days of Pick-up date, for whatever reason including not having the correct wiring, you will be charged for the full amount of the rental (twice the reservation deposit amount plus any applicable taxes). 

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 25 yrs or older and have a valid drivers license.

PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF
Daily rental periods are done in 24 hr periods. Anytime can be arranged for the Trailers in Bluffdale but Mornings are preferred.  Plan on 1 hour for pick-up and ˝ hour for drop-off.  If trailer is not dropped off at scheduled time the renter will be charged at an hourly rate of $50.00 plus a $50.00 late fee and for any loss of business or incurred charges to accommodate the next renter due to tardiness or damage affecting another renter.  Renter is responsible for any damage to trailer from pick-up time to drop-off.  Please no pick up or drop offs on Sunday!

CHANGES:
Changes can be made up to 28 days in advance, so long as available, with a $25.00 change fee per change.  If your wanting to add days to your reservation there will be no change fees.

INVENTORY ITEMS, KITCHEN SUPPLIES:
Loss of any item will be a charge of $15.00 plus replacement cost. If you know you have lost something and you don’t want to pay the $15.00, you can replace the same or similar item before you drop off.  Just tell us about it so we can be aware of it. 

PAYMENTS:
All rental charges and deposits are to be paid in full at time of pick-up.  Personal checks will not be accepted within 7 days of pick-up.  Cash and Payment by Visa or MasterCard are accepted day of departure.

NO TRAVEL TO MEXICO:
Wheeler Rentals trailers are not allowed out of the lower 48 states.

TANKS:
The propane tanks are full, and the Black and Gray tanks are empty when you depart.  Please return them in the same condition or a $20.00 charge per tank (propane, black, gray) will be charged, up to $60.

NOTICES REQUIRED BY INSURANCE Your own motor vehicle insurance or credit card may cover loss or damage to the vehicle.  Failure to return the vehicle within 72 hours of the expiration of the rental period may constitute a criminal offense under Utah law, and subject you to the maximum penalty for theft of a motor vehicle.

17’ needs a 2” ball that measures 19-21” from the top of the ball to the ground.
